Introduction

Alcohol | Knives | Drugs | Drugs A-Z

In this section, young people will be able to have an overview of the law in relation to issues that may apply to them. The section also has hyperlinks to relevant external sites which will provide extra information.

There are a series of lessons which have been drafted as part of the Citizenship and Safety Education (CASE) Programme. This programme is delivered by PSNI officers who have undergone training at Stranmillis College. These lessons are designed for pupils in Key Stages 2, 3 and 4, and the officer can adapt each lesson to suit the age and ability of the class. For each Key Stage, there is a supplementary workbook containing extra worksheets and tasks which can be used as either introductory or extension material for each topic area. An index of all the lesson plans available at each Key Stage is attached for your information and convenience. These lesson plans have drafted by a teacher employed by the Police Service of Northern Ireland and are the copyright of the Chief Constable. They can only be delivered by PSNI officers who have been trained to deliver the CASE Programme.
