Class A drugs carry the heaviest penalties for possession, supply and production, followed by Class B and Class C. All illegal drug use has serious legal and health consequences. Remember, giving drugs to your friends is considered supplying and the same penalties relating to trafficking can apply. If a police officer believes she or he has reasonable grounds to suspect someone of possessing drugs, they have the power to search that person and/or their vehicle.
